Craftsman Design Build is a field led residential design build company that takes a hands-on approach to remodeling. Unlike many contractors who sell a project and hand it off 100% to subcontractors, we remain personally involved from design through completion. We design your project in-house, manage the work onsite daily, and self-perform many of the critical carpentry and finish details that define the quality of the finished space. Our goal is simple: provide a better remodeling experience through clear communication, accountability, and attention to detail. Once we are on your project, we stay on it until completion. We love seeing your design come to life! Former Certified EIFS (Exterior Insulation & Finish Systems) Professional in EIFS installations and proper inspections.
Former NCCER (National Center for Construction Education & Research) Master Trainer and Instructor in Carpentry, Drywall, & Core Curriculum.
About the Owner
Travis Jones began his construction career working for his father’s commercial subcontracting company over summers while in High School, then began full time in 2001. After 7 years working with his tools in various interior / exterior scopes, he moved into the office as an estimator & project manager. Along the way he created and implemented the company’s in-house apprenticeship program (at that time, it was Oklahoma’s only in house program for carpentry) . Near the end of his time with the company he became the Director of Prefabrication for the new prefab division of the company (see Travis far right in the group pic).
In 2020 Travis & his wife April decided to invest in a space where they spent the most time together, their patio. Other than a place to wind down in the evenings, it would also serve to entertain friends & family. Travis, and even his wife & kids at times, worked on the build after hours & weekends. After realizing how much this space made a difference for them, it was the beginning of an idea.
In 2022, after over 20 years of working with the family business, Travis decided it was time to start his own journey. Craftsman Design Build was created with a passion for designing and building spaces that bring people together.
